NO COUNTRY FOR OUR WOMEN

Our nation bleeds!

'cause we have failed to live as one

'cause we have let ourselves down

'cause there is no peace in town

'cause there is enough loss for us to mourn.

'cause we just don't care

'cause even with the truth laid bare

there is no justice fair

'cause freedom is a costly fare

and victory over evil is very rare

'cause we've caused so much pain

our forefathers' sacrifices have been in vain

'cause we've let innocents to be slain

with nothing but blood and violence in gain

Oh yes! Our nation bleeds!

'cause girls are not respected

wrongdoers are not convicted

and then

when eve-teasing, assault, murder and rape are a given

this is NO COUNTRY FOR OUR WOMEN!!

Cliffhanger

He stood there at the edge,
his heart pounding,
his mind numb,
his limbs frozen;
he had but nowhere to go
his life had taken its toll on him.

All those seeds he wanted to sow,
the boats he wanted to row,
the places he wanted to go,
and people he wished to know;
dreams, all those dreams he had stitched,
they now ceased to exist.

He looked down at the roaring waves
crashing against his platform.
He looked back at his past ways
regretting his aversion to reform.
He looked forward into death's face
inviting him with its seducing form.

And yet he stood there
unwilling to twitch a muscle
In this far off land
away from the hustle-bustle.
Then, all of a sudden
cold water gushed through his ears
He woke with a start,
looked out of the window
only to find honking cars
It was morning
and his mom kicked his a*** !
